Zentris commissioned Anglian Land Services to carry out the first maintenance visit at their commercial property in Broomfield, Essex. The site had been left without regular upkeep and had become overgrown and untidy, making it a poor environment for the businesses renting space there. We were brought in to restore the grounds to a good standard and begin a regular monthly maintenance contract to keep things that way going forward.
The challenge
A site that has been left without proper maintenance for a long time takes more effort to bring back to standard than one that is looked after regularly. Overgrown grass, weeds, and unchecked vegetation can make a commercial property look neglected, which affects the experience of tenants and their customers. The client needed a team that could assess the full extent of the work required, carry out a thorough first visit, and then put a reliable routine in place to stop the site deteriorating again.
Our approach
Our team carried out a detailed first visit to tackle the overgrowth and bring the site back to a presentable condition. We worked through the grounds systematically, cutting back grass and vegetation that had been left to spread unchecked and clearing areas that had become particularly untidy. Throughout the visit, we worked closely with Zentris to understand exactly how they wanted the site to look and to agree on the scope of the monthly commercial ground maintenance visits going forward. This initial visit gave us a solid baseline to maintain and build on.
The results
By the end of the first visit, the site had been transformed from an overgrown, neglected space into a clean and well-presented commercial property. Tenants now have a much better environment to work in, and the site gives a more professional first impression to anyone visiting. With a monthly grounds maintenance contract now in place, the site will be kept on top of throughout the year so it never returns to the state it was in before.
